Matthew Fort debuts

Festival Patrons

Matthew Fort

We are seriously pleased that Matthew has agreed to be a patron at this year’s Festival. It will be his first visit to Malton and who better to judge the quality of the produce on show?

As well as being the Food and Drink editor of The Guardian for over ten years he has he also writes for Esquire, The Observer, Country Living, Decanter and Waitrose Food Illustrated. His books include Rhubarb and Black Pudding, Eating up Italy: Voyages on a Vespa, along with its sequel Sweet Honey, Bitter Lemons.

Currently Matthew is a judge on the BBC’s Great British Menu and will be appearing at the Festival on stage in the cookery theatre and signing books in the interview tent. As a patron Matthew is keen to promote all the superb produce surrounding Malton and the town itself as one of Yorkshire’s top destinations for food lovers. Don’t forget to check back on the website for details of cookery demo timings.
