This year we are introducing a waiter’s race to the Malton Food Lovers Festival. The race will take place on Sunday at 3pm and will consist of a thrilling 200 yard dash along the market place with a tray, and three full glasses of wine. Come and line the track and cheer on your favourite waiter or waitress!
All restaurants and food businesses in Malton and Norton can enter but must contact us here prior to the weekend.
If you would like to enter ‘them’s the rules’!
The winner is the waiter/waitress who finishes first but importantly with a full tray with 3 plastic glasses still on it, with more than half the liquid in it…!
Each food business can only enter one waiter. All entrants must wear their full waiters or waitresses uniform.
Each waiter must bring their own wooden or plastic tray.
The wine glass must be made out of plastic and be filled with something delicious!
Entrants must bring their own tray but glasses will be provided. Only one hand is allowed, the other goes behind your back!
The prize of an amazing Hamper of Sloe Motion products (Sloe Gin and chocolates and other lovely goodies!) will be awarded to the winning waiter/waitress and is kindly donated by the Jonathan Curtoys of Sloe Motion.
