Carluccio’s a-coming AGAIN!

We are incredibly honoured that Antonio Carluccio, godfather of Italian Cuisine and star of the BBC series Two Greedy Italians and Two Greedy Italians - Eat Italy will be appearing at the Malton Food Lovers Festival in 2013. As well as agreeing to be a Festival Patron, Antonio will be on stage in the cookery theatres and signing books in the interview tent. This year he will also be given a cooking lesson to some lucky ticket holders and cooking a gala charity festival dinner. Ticket information available here. He is a culinary giant, overall cooking legend and Malton newest adopted son! We feel very proud to welcome him again to Malton Food Lovers Festival.

As a Festival Patron, Antonio is keen to promote all the superb produce from the local area, and to highlight the town itself as Yorkshire's Food Capital. He first visited 'foodie' Malton in the Autumn 2011 when he adopted a local piglet which he named Sophia Loren. Having fallen in love with the food loving town, he agreed to return as a patron and of course to see his beloved Sophia!

Fresh from the second series of Two Greedy Italians a little bird told us that he keeps a picture of Sophia close to him every night and she even appeared on his Christmas card!
