Tom Parker Bowles said: ”I’m delighted and proud to be a part of the Food Lovers Festival. This is a celebration of fine regional food and cooking. Wonderful ingredients to look forward to and some seriously talented chefs. I can’t wait.”

Chief Executive Gary Verity said: “The Malton Food Lovers Festival was built on passion and commitment and has grown into an exceptional attraction for visitors to experience Yorkshire’s great culinary traditions and local produce, in a beautiful and historic market town setting.”
The Welcome to Yorkshire Taste Trail will allow event visitors to sample and explore some of the great food and drink available in Malton. Many of the town’s food retailers and eateries as well as non-food businesses such as art galleries and gift shops, will have local speciality ‘tasting dishes’ to try throughout the weekend, as part of the celebrations.
The Food Lovers Festival was originally launched in 2009 as a one day celebration of Malton’s top quality local food and drink producers, chefs, retailers and eateries and immediately attracted to around 5000 visitors.
And following the success of its first Beer Festival last year, a much expanded Beer and Wine Festival is on this year’s menu with tasting tutorials and notes, an all day beer garden and evening food and music. Special festival menus and offers designed to tempt all tastes will be available throughout the weekend of 21-22 May.

We went on the Saturday, it was fantastic, what a buzz to the place, just like some enormous party. We also came home laden with superb produce, and a huge amount of information from the knowledgeable stall holders. Brilliant, well done to all.
