The Tasting Studio

Join us for a series of food and drink masterclasses delivered throughout the festival weekend. The sessions offer you the opportunity meet the producers and learn more about the food and drink they produce.

The Tasting Studio is situated in the Studio Bar inside the Milton Rooms (where the Beer and Wine Festival is being held).

For free sessions, simply arrive 5 minutes before the start time. For the Wine Tastings, participants must purchase a ticket in advance from the Wine Bar in the Milton Rooms. Audience numbers a limited to 25 people per session and you must be 18 years or over to attend the wine tasting sessions.

TASTING PROGRAMME - SATURDAY & SUNDAY

11.00am – 11.30am VINTAGE PRESERVES TASTING (free)
Claire Davies from Grace Preserves walks you through a wide range of vintage recipe preserves; all made using seasonal, local ingredients.

12.00pm – 12.45pm WINES OF SOUTH AMERICA (tickets £5)
Wine professional, Andy Taylor from Liberty Wines delivers a tutored tasting of 5 delightful wines from Chile and Argentina. (Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Wine Bar in the Milton Rooms)

1.00pm – 1.30pm FOR SLOE LEARNERS (free)
Learn more about the humble Sloe from Jonathan Curtoys and sample some of the wonderful products produced by Sloe Motion.

2.00pm – 2.45pm SUMMER DRINKING – WHITES AND ROSÉS – (tickets £5)
Work your way through a selection of the best wines to be drinking this summer with Andy Taylor from Liberty Wines. (Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Wine Bar in the Milton Rooms)

3.00pm – 3.30pm DISCOVERING CHOCOLATE (free)
Join Sophie Jewett from Pretty Little Things as she takes you on a journey into the world of chocolate, exploring the different flavours of cocoas from around the world.
