Producers’ Market
The Malton Food Lovers Festival will be returning for a fourth successive year on Saturday May 19th and Sunday May 20th 2012 and we are inviting you to apply to be a part of what promises to be the best Food Lovers Festival yet!
After the huge success of this year’s event, we are delighted to announce that plans are already well underway for next year’s festival. In 2012 we are expecting around 20,000 visitors to the festival, where there will be a full programme of entertainment across the weekend. And with top food writer and patron Tom Parker Bowles enthusing that the festival is “…on a par with the best in the country” you will not want to miss out!
We will have over 100 food and drink producers exhibiting at the Festival, giving visitors the opportunity to taste and buy some of the finest foods produced in the Yorkshire region.
Two Cookery Theatres will showcase a fabulous range of 22 cookery demonstrations from an unbeatable line up of festival patrons and some of Yorkshire’s favourite chefs and cooks, inspiring visitors to enjoy the finest produce from Yorkshire and beyond. The line up is headed by Tom Parker Bowles, Antonio Carluccio, Matthew Fort, Andrew Pern and Rosemary Shrager.
The popular ‘Beer, Wine and Cider Festival’ will be returning in 2012 and will again be held in the recently refurbished Milton Rooms. The festival will feature guest real ales and ciders, a separate wine bar, tutored tastings, music throughout the day and a beer garden area.
And as well as all of the above, the Army Kitchen will return, the Taste Trail will be back for a second year and there will be a programme of musical entertainment throughout both days.
Visitors to the 2012 Festival are guaranteed a fabulous food-filled day out for the whole family and you are sure to enjoy a hugely successful weekend of trading!
