Stallholder Joining Instructions

Please see details below for stallholder joining instructions.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any further queries.

Arrival
Access to the Market Place will be available from 6am and all vehicles must be off-site by 8.30am. Please arrange to arrive as early as possible – this will ensure everyone is set up in time to start trading at 9am.
If you are using one of our stalls, they will already be erected. Please see a steward to be directed to your allocated position.

Our stalls measure 8 x 4 ft and come with table top boards and a green/white striped tarpaulin. Please ensure you provide suitable table covers and front skirting for the stall to ensure your products are displayed to best effect. Table skirts are particularly effective for providing a hidden storage area. Cling film wrapped around the upper sides of the market stalls provides a transparent wind break and is something you may wish to consider bringing. Remember: the best looking stalls always make the most money!

We are expecting local and national press to attend so this is an excellent opportunity for you to display your stall to best effect for maximum publicity value!

Parking
Off-site parking will be at Wentworth Street car park - approximately a five minute walk from the Market Place or on Showfield Lane. A free shuttle bus will be operating from Wentworth Street car park which we hope you will take advantage of.

Trading Hours
Trading begins at 9am and continues through until 4pm. Please ensure you are ready to trade by 9am and DO NOT pack up prior to 4pm. It will detract from the overall aesthetics of the festival and traders failing to obey this request may not be invited back to future events.

Generators/Power Requirement
Please note that no generators will be allowed on site. If you have not already told us your power requirements, please do so ASAP.

Expect the Unexpected!
We are looking forward to a great festival and have previously enjoyed fantastic weather. However this is an outdoor festival so please be prepared to consider how you will look after yourselves and your produce in the event of a) too much sun/heat; b) an unexpected downpour; c) severe wind.

Security
We will be employing overnight security but please note we cannot accept responsibility should anything happen to stands/stalls that you have brought yourself/which belong to you. All stallholders are advised to remove their produce and equipment overnight.

Packing Up
Vehicles will be allowed on site from 4pm onwards each day. When packing up, please leave the stall as you found it, i.e. erected and with the tarpaulin in place. Please also ensure any rubbish from your stall is cleared away, especially if you are providing tasters.

The paperwork!
Please remember to bring the right paperwork on both days. This will include:

  • A photocopy of your public liability insurance
  • Food hygiene certificates
  • Safety certificates for equipment (where applicable)

And finally…
Please remember that all money should now be in. If you have not yet sent a cheque for the balance of your stall, please do so ASAP. If you have not paid for your stall in full, you will not be granted access to the event. There is a waiting list so for stalls so your place may be re-allocated.
If you are unsure how much you owe, please contact us on 01653 692849 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

Thank you for helping the day to run smoothly by observing the above. We look forward to seeing you and to having a fun-filled and profitable weekend.
