Malton Food Lovers Festival
Malton Food Lovers Festival will return on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May 2012. This website is being updated and full festival information will be available soon.
The 2012 Festival aims to showcase the very best produce from the surrounding countryside with 100 varied producers offering visitors the chance to taste and buy the best that Yorkshire has to offer. As well as the producers, two separate theatres will host a series of cookery demonstrations by award-winning cooks including ‘Celebrity Chef’ Antonio Carluccio, Rosemary Shrager and Andrew Pern and famous food writers Tom Parker Bowles and Matthew Fort.
For families there will be the chance to enjoy the Young Chefs’ Competition, Mayoral “Cook Off” as well as the Army Kitchen complete with Scimitar Tank. Festival sausages will play a big part being cooked all over town and of course there will be our superb street food stalls outside the Milton Rooms. All this and there was a brilliant programme of live music throughout the two days. There are several new attractions to the festival but these will be revealed in due course!
