Dear Gastronaut,
I am one of the festival organisers and this is to wish you a very warm welcome to the Malton Food Lovers Festival website. The festival will run over two days this year on Sat 21st and Sun 22nd May 2011. There will be gastronomic treats, foodie surprises, famous faces and much more but above all it will be a great family day out.
Please feel free to leave feedback as the more we get the more we can improve and until then see you in May!
Yours
Tom Naylor-Leyland
So looking forward to the festival this year - last years was great !
TPB I’ll bring the ‘Glaves’ pork pies LOL
Dear Sarah, looking forward to it as well. Good luck with the preparation and please spread the word about the website http://www.maltonfoodfestival.co.uk.
The pork pies sound irresistible!
Thanks
Tom Naylor-Leyland
If you’ve never been to Glaves Butchers at Brompton-by-Sawdon you must do so ! They slaughter all their own meat on the premises and their pork pies are simply divine (that’s coming from a ‘southerner’ who as a child HATED pork pies - grey and sludgy shop bought ones) I’m a ‘convert’ !
Sounds excellent I must try them. My wife is a Southerner who has always been obsessed with Pork Pies so i will mention them to her! I like mine with a little onion marmalade personally.
Have a read of this !

I will take a look, thank you.
Really excited about this years MFLF. It was great last year - so pleased you have turned it into a 2 day event. I will be coming from Wiltshire again for sure!!
Thank you Serena that is very kind of you and the food festival team is delighted the message has got as far as Wiltshire. Perhaps therefore it is the perfect moment to have a contest between the famous Wiltshire and York hams…?
