Last year, visitors consumed over 3000 pints of quality ale, so we are sure that with the selection on show over the weekend, the quantity may increase! The Great Yorkshire Brewery, formerly known as Cropton Brewery has been brewing award-winning craft beers for over 25 years, there has however been beer brewed in Cropton since 1613. Their cask beers are still produced under the Cropton brand but the latest investment in the brewery has allowed them to introduce craft keg beers into some of the finest pubs in Yorkshire. All their beers are born and brewed in Yorkshire, it's real honest beer made with Yorkshire Watter, British Barley, Malt, Yeast and nowt else. There will be tasting notes on all the real ales on offer.
Just launched this year is its stunning Yorkshire Lager, a refreshing and traditional keg-lager brewed just 10 miles down the road in Cropton, and you will find it on sale in its own special “Keg” area, alone with its new Black Out beer, Yorkshire Red lager and Yorkshire Cider. “We're really chuffed to be supporting the Malton Festival with our new keg bar and will be sourcing a range of the finest Yorkshire Beers from other local friendly brewers,” says Jo Taylor, co-owner of the Great Yorkshire Brewery.
